What type of information we have

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Your email address – for example when you sign up for a Challenge or Consultation or Course
  • Your personal data – for example when you book a Heartful Homeopathy Consultation.
  • When you make a booking, we collect personal data including your name and contact details, payment details and information about your medical history.

How we get the information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • Via a simple sign up – just your email address – you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Via our booking forms – we need this information in order to provide you with the service you have requested. Payment information is not stored within the website but within the payment processor’s (PayPal or Stripe) secure systems
  • Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us at the email address above.
(b) We have a contractual obligation.

What we do with the information we have

We use the information that you have given us in order to:

  • send you our news and updates;
  • provide you with the services you have requested.

We never share your information with third parties unless we have reason to believe you may be at risk of harm in which case we may share your information with statutory authorities such as the Police.

How we store your information

Your information is securely stored in three main ways:

  1. Your email address (if you subscribe to receive our newsletter) is stored in our mailing system (currently Mailchimp) and is retained by us until you unsubscribe.
  2. Your personal and sensitive information (when you book a service) is stored securely in our booking database and is retained by us for a period of three years following the end of any service we provide. At which time it will be deleted permanently from our database. If any printed copies of your information are made (for example to assist us in providing services to you) these will be shredded before being recycled.
  3. Your payment information is stored securely in our payment processor’s systems (currently PayPal and Stripe) and is not retained beyond the need to process a payment, including issuing any refund to you.

  • Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
  • Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
